| Alnico Magnets: Its full name is aluminum-nickel-cobalt alloy. It is developed in the 1940's. It is an alloy magnet made from AI, NI, Co Fe and other trace metal elements and can be produced through either sintering or casting process. The casting process allows for the magnet to be manufactured into intricate and complex shapes, which are not possible with other magnetic materials. The product has remarkable resistance against corrosion and high temperature, and is mainly used in certain precision instruments. Besides, its close tolerances can be maintained by grinding to meet customer specifications. Alnico magnet as cast is gray to dark brown in color, but looks bright metallic when ground. |
